No. 1 seed Taylor Dent won his 2nd round match today against Spain’s Roberto Bautista-Agut.

Unfortunately Alex Kuznetsov and Kevin Kim were not successful today in getting through to the third round going down to Tobias Kamke of Germany and Alexander Peya of Austria, respectively.
Day 1 & 2 of Qualfiying saw the following American players go down:
Bobby Reynolds with an unfortunate match up with Jesse Witten in the first round.
Similar situation with Lester Cook meeting the other Jesse, Jesse Levine, in the first round.
Tim Smyczek lost to British player and wildcard recipient Daniel Evans.
Ryan Harrison lost to Ricardas Berankis of Lithuania.
Seventh seed Donald Young went down to Guillermo Alcaide of Spain
Michael Yani had a tough three-setter against Bernard Tomic of Australia. (7-6(4), 5-7, 7-5
Alex Bogomolov Jr. lost to fellow Pro Circuit player Rik De Voest of South Africa.
