Only one of the No. 1 players in the world triumphed at the BNP Paribas Open on Sunday afternoon. Serena Williams was upset 6-4, 6-4 by Victoria Azarenka in the women's final, but there was no such surprise on the men's side--not even close.

Global Chick here and reporting and still really suffering from the jetlag. It still stalks like a lion who hasn’t had a snack in quite a long while (rather like a good night’s sleep!). The tennis players feel it too.
So jetlag is losing, but the weather is winning as continuous wet stuff leaked from the skies in the morning and with it a slew of bad news all round for the WTA.
