Roger Federer is potentially one week away from becoming the oldest world No. 1 in the history of the ATP Tour. That will become a reality if Federer reaches the semifinals of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament, a 500-point event on the indoor hard courts of Rotterdam.

Amazingly enough, there is one record in tennis that Roger Federer does not have. Okay, there's actually several--such as, obviously, French Open titles (that, of course, belongs to Rafael Nadal).
Roger Federer is returning to Rotterdam—and could regain the world No. 1 ranking with a semifinal run. The Australian Open champion has accepted a wild card into next week's ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament, which begins on Monday.

Please enjoy a silly story By Craig Cignarelli who basically wants to make us smile. But I'm pretty certain he thinks he has used every superlative to expound on Roger Federer already.

Roger Federer has made the improbable, probable. Marching to the finals of the of the Australian Open without dropping a set, today Federer faced and defeated Marin Cilic to claim his 20th Grand Slam Title.

It's deja vu all over again in the 2018 Australian Open final. No, it is not a rematch of Federer vs. Rafael Nadal at the 2017 Aussie Open. But it's a rematch, all right. It's Federer vs. Marin Cilic on Sunday night.
I have a routine in the 2nd week of the AO. With the extreme time difference from New York and Melbourne, (16 hours!), I am never awake for the start of the feature evening match, which begins airing live at 3:30 am EST (Eastern Standard Time Zone in America).
I’m a Federer guy. There, I said it. Rafa could marry my daughter (please?)—but I cannot cheer for him. I even cheered for Federer over Roddick in their epic Wimbledon final in 2009. All those wins Rafa had over Fed = Brutal.
