The ITF announced today that it has renewed its sponsorship agreement with NEC Corporation as title sponsor of the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters and as an Official Partner of the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour through 2017.
Please find below the latest results from the 2014 NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London on 26-30 November. The ITF’s year-end wheelchair tennis event features eight men, eight women and four quad players.

Esther Vergeer has today announced her retirement from wheelchair tennis bringing an end to the most illustrious career the sport has ever seen.
The past 2 days we have been preparing in silence and incredible team work of the entire crew of the WTT ABN-AMRO ATP TOUR Event in Ahoy Rotterdam.
Vergeer, 31 years old from Woerden, has won 470 consecutive matches since she was defeated by Australian Daniele di Toro in Sydney on January 30, 2003.

This was Vergeer’s fourth consecutive women’s singles gold medal after her past wins in Sydney, Athens and Beijing. She has also won two gold medals and one silver medal in women’s doubles, taking her total tally to seven medals. This means she has now surpassed David Hall’s record of six medals to become the most successful Paralympic tennis player of all-time.
