World No. 20, rising American star and Australian Open semifinalist Madison Keys has committed to play the 2015 Connecticut Open presented by United Technologies, a WTA event that is part of the Emirates Airline US Open Series to be held August 21-29, 2015 at the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale, it was announced today by Tournament Director Anne Worcester.
Attendance for the New Haven WTA event reached 47,140 this year, an increase from 45,796 a year ago. It was the first increase the tournament has had since 2005, though still less than the 76,860 it drew as a combined event in 2010.
