Look I’m guilty of buying into the “RF” logo; I could almost go a month without wearing the same “RF” jacket twice.

THE GOOD: After a week of waiting for the mail everyday with Christmas-like anticipation, I get a text from my UPS store, “you have a package” I’m pretty sure it’s finally arrived and I’m right, my new Nike RF Jacket--all new material and freshly designed.
I think we can all agree that for the great Roger Federer the Australian Open really started with a potentially dangerous match against “Ivo The Giant”, capable of blowing anybody on the tour off the court with that mutant serve.
It’s 11:00 am and I’m right on time, racket bag, water, red Masters Victory RF 2010 polo and my limited edition white RF All Court Victory jacket.
With only hours to go until the men’s singles draw is unveiled for the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam tournament of the year, it was confirmed today by a consortium of global scientists that Roger Federer is in fact human.
Well, I’ve unwrapped everything under the tree and it seems my phone calls, hand written letters, emails and smoke signals never got through to Santa.

Preparing for tournament play. It’s easy to slap on a RF logoed shirt and think your good to go… certainly I look fantastic, nobody in their right mind would argue with that… it’s the easiest part in the process.
After a quick post match discussion with my collection of various RF emblazoned wear, we all agreed this was a very strong and intelligent showing for Federer.
Let me state it now for the record…I’m a fan, not a fanatic. Just because I’m wearing a RF hat, shirt and jacket while in my house watching today’s Federer match doesn’t make me a fanatic.
Well, I guess my prized collection of RF emblazoned hats, jackets and polo shirt are officially out of the closet….what a relief, like having the weight of the world lifted off my shoulders. Finally free, proud and ready to join the RF outfitted community.
I’m standing with my plastic cup of Negro Modelo waiting to go to my seat in the box seating area at the Farmer’s Tennis Open, Friday night. When a woman tapped me on the shoulder and ask “how many colors do you have that Roger Federer hat in?”
