Spaniard Albert Ramos took out local favourite Ivan Dodig. Ramos needed two hours and 37 minutes to overcome the Croat in three sets 6-4 3-6 6-2.
Australia’s Peter Luczak reached the second round at the Crédit Agricole Suisse Open in Gstaad yesterday. The World No. 248 beat Swiss wildcard Alexander Sadecky 3-6 6-3 7-6 (4). Number two seed Stanislas Wawrinka of Switerzland is waiting for “Looch” in the next round.
Australia’s third ranked player Matthew Ebden teamed up with Alex Bogomolov Jr. this week at the Atlanta Tennis Championships.
Frenchman Gilles Simon won his second title of the season and his ninth career title at the bet-at-home Open – German Tennis Championships. The World No. 18 also won the Sydney Medibank International in January.

World No. 22 Fernando Verdasco beat German wildcard Cedrik-Marcel Stebe 7-5 6-2 to advance in to the quarterfinals of the bet-at-home Open German Tennis Championships 2011.
