Day 7  |

Day 7 Wednesday of the tournament and the dynamics of the days are changing! Players have left for the next event and some of them stay around for 2 practise sessions a day!

It was a perfect day of tennis and it started with an hour and a half practise session with Kiki Mladenovic on court 8. It was welcome change of the weather with a slight breeze and a lot cooler and no humidity. I can count. Those days on one hand in the 10 years I have been coming here to Cincinnati.

And as you can see on the sign on the mirror in the restrooms (which I must are impeccable and the cleaning team does phenomenal job) They are well prepared for the Heat advisory messages

After the hit we had some time in-between practices to so a little workout but the gym was busy and I could catch up with all of my emails (since I was off line for almost 3 weeks during my vacation)

During the practise with Caroline I noticed a change in the net. Some of you may have noticed the ATP World Tour Logo in the net by the Men. Well it looks like the WTA is testing to Copy it.

However the net is harder to look through and the timing of the ball is being tested! But like anything else it may take some to get used to it! Look for it on court 16.

I also had a chance to visit the Media center and Mr Shubert himself was up there working hard on the latest news for 10sballs.com. I was up there to meet John Yandall from www.tennisplayers.net for a small chat about video analysis and about strength and weaknesses.

This is their view from above

Believe me Cincinnati is the Indian wells of the Midwest. If you love tennis you must come and visit because the tournament is fan friendly and it has great access to courts to get up close with the players.

I also found out about a out door players lounge which is on the 3 floor and has a table tennis table but because of the humidity most of the people never look for an outdoor lounge. Table tennis anyone?

Caroline won her match in the afternoon and Kiki practiced one more time. Tomorrow will the big test for Caroline against Kvitova.

Unfortunately Niclas and Yury are leaving but we will see them in NY again.

Niclas had a proud moment posing with Rory McElroy in the player lounge.
