USTA Serves To Host Second Fund Raiser In The Hamptons  |

USTA Serves, the national charitable foundation of the United States Tennis Association announced it will host its second annual pro-am in the Hamptons, Thursday, August 22 in East Hampton, N.Y.

The event begins with a doubles round robin tournament, and an evening reception sponsored by Sotheby’s Auction House. Both events will serve to raise money to help fund college scholarships and program grants to community-based tennis and education programs throughout the country, and help fund USTA Player Development efforts to develop world-class American tennis players.

The day will kick off at noon with the Pro-Am at the East Hampton Indoor Tennis Club, featuring Jim Courier, Sam Querrey, and Sloane Stephens, all of whom will be paired with foundation donors.

USTA Serves is hosting a sunset cocktail reception at The Bridge in Bridgehampton, N.Y., at 6 pm. Honored guests include John McEnroe, who will meet with guests throughout the evening. Sotheby’s Auction House will be the premier sponsor of the event.

“We are looking forward to another great day of tennis in the Hamptons for a second year,” said Dan Faber, USTA Serves Executive Director. “I’m delighted to have East Hampton Indoor Tennis Club and The Bridge once again serve as hosts for a spectacular day. We are thankful to our tennis legends as well as our rising stars of today’s game, along with our sponsors and other participants, all of whom are coming together to support the missions of USTA Serves and USTA Player Development.”

To date, USTA Serves has awarded more than $15 million in grants and scholarships to people and programs throughout the country in an effort to provide at-risk and underserved youth with greater opportunities to realize success.
