A new day with new opportunities has come our way! Since we are leading into our most difficult scheduling times, we have to start our day at 6 am for our personal work out!

Here’s just a quick overview of our schedule today and without going into too much depth of each session! Since it was raining again we were faced with yet again some challenges of managing the schedule but we were fortunate once again with the help of the people at the practice desk!

8 to 9 Maria Kirilenko
9 to 10 Caroline Wozniacki
12 Sorana cancelled due to rain
12 Caroline indoors with Mats

3 to 4 Sorana with Mats indoors weather did clear
4 to 5 Maria Kirilenko
6 to 7 Ayumi Morita
7 to 8 Adidas kids clinic

During lunch we caught up with Thiemo de Bakker and other players that have either qualies or practice in prep for Monday!

The main draw was also drawn up today and Caroline is the first seed! Also we have Darren Cahill joining us again and will meet up with Gil Reyes during the Kids’ Clinic!

Maria was the only one of our players that had a chance to practice with some natural sun light out and the conditions are totally different when you play indoors (with the roof closed), not only the Dolby surround sound when you hit the ball but the lack of sun and wind changes the sensation of your ball control! (Challenging when you have to play outdoors when the tournament starts on Monday!)

I wonder what the weather will throw at us this year but I expect a hot one after having had so much rain!

Tomorrow will be another busy day but look forward it to be as productive as today!

To be honest I never ever attended a full weekend of Davis Cup. So that is why I needed to take my parents as they also never experienced this phenomenon.

First Day at the Davis Cup between Spain and Germany in Valencia. Traveling is part of my life for the Past 37 years and the past weeks have not been different.
