What a day it is exactly 13 hours ago when I left my room and got back to the Hotel!
Today it started with about 8 degree Celsius but with Sun! On court 5, in front of the media compound and background of Philippe Chatrier (Roland Garros Center Court)!
My schedule allowed me to go and watch a bit of qualifying and I love the Logo they use!
At around 11 the rain started coming down and until 5:30 it was on and off and many of the courts on and outside were mostly closed for the day!
Those who planned well and had some patience got plenty of tennis because it stopped between 5:30 pm till 7:30! During this time there was something unique because 3 top ten players shared center court and practices together like 3 good friends!
For every practise we get a sheet that tells us the court time and who they share with.
After we finished on center court we went back to court 5 where I started my day and shared the court with Azarenka but here we kept to our team!
Even though the rain was dominating almost the entire day I was in court for more than 3 hours
The draw also came out today and the next question the players ask “top or bottom”? That question relates to what part if the draw is being played on the Sunday-Monday or the Monday-Tuesday! Roland Garros is unique with their Sunday start and 16 matches will be played on Sunday! This is not made available yet but the main question was answered by this sheet if paper!
Tonight we have the official players party at the residence of the US consulate! Maybe I can take some pictures because it is supposed to be a very special one organized by the Tennis Channel!
Also tomorrow morning I will have an adidas clinic with some special adidas guest and in the afternoon I am back on court with the Pro’s
