How can I add Anything more to this day in Valencia, where Spain ended up victorious over Germany.
We were all reminded of how great our sport is and how much it means to a nation to host a Davis Cup Match.
This venue, which was build between 1850 and 1859 (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plaza_de_Toros_de_Valencia) the city València, the spectators and the players all did justice to the history of the Davis Cup (all 118 years of it). This was an epic match up and I am sure anybody who attended will never forget this weekend.
After first seeing Rafa win his match over Zverev with 6-1 6-4 6-4 we were given a incredible show of athleticism by two players, both over the age of 35.
Ferrer won the fight for Spain over Kolhkschreiber 3 sets to 2 but at the end but both players earned 185 points each. This is how close this match turned out to be.
I think the city of Valencia was the biggest winner of today and we may give special thanks for hosting the Davis Cup!
If your get a chance please come and visit this incredible city.
At the end I want to give my special thanks to a very dear friend who was so kind to host my parents and I.
If you have a chance to attend a Davis Cup weekend this year please do so because it may be the last chance we will ever have.
This experience in Valencia will be my parents and I to keep and I will cherish this for the rest of my life.
