Singles – Semifinal: (1) Petra Kvitova def. Alexandra Cadantu 6-0 6-4

It’s still looking as if we’re seeing the “good” Petra Kvitova. If she can keep that up for one more match, she’ll actually earn some points — although she will remain #8 no matter what happens in the final.

Singles – Semifinal: (2) Roberta Vinci def. Annika Beck 6-1 6-0

That’s two straight 6-1 6-0 wins for Roberta Vinci. It could be an interesting final. Which is important for Vinci, because she needs to win the title to move in the rankings.

Doubles – Semifinal: Olaru/Solovyeva def. Domachowska/Rosolska 6-2 6-2

There goes the chance of a Polish champion. Still, this has to be a big help to Marta Domachowska at least; she is spending most of her time in Challengers these days, and not doing very well even there; her singles ranking is below #250.
