Tomas Berdych has joined the chorus of compliments on the return to tennis of Rafael Nadal after the Spaniard defeated the Czech to set up a final at the first Masters 1000 of the season against Rafael Nadal.
The No. 6 Berdych finished his own best week at the event by reaching the semi-finals, and said that Nadal, now on the cusp of a third title in a month, has barely lost a step after sitting out seven months with knee problems.
“He still plays very aggressive. In his first matches (February on clay) he might have been still missing a bit of confidence in his game. But now it’s definitely not like that anymore.
“He’s starting to feel his game like he did before, he’s playing really good.”
