On opening day of the @BNPPARISBASOPEN there was plenty of things to keep me busy! Between Watching 2 matches of Timea Babos and Ayumi Morita (who both unfortunately lost) I was on to be found on and at the practise court with Caroline Wozniacki and Daniela Hantuchova! Andrea Petkovic took a day of but will return for doubles tomorrow where she will team up with Angelique Kerber!
I also want to congratulate the WTA TOUR with their 40th Anniversary this year! They have created the coolest logo for their player patch! So keep a look out for this sign and say thank you to all founding members of the WTA TOUR and especially Billie Jean King and Gladys Heldman of World Tennis Magazine Fame.
During my lunch which I took around 3:30 I was sitting among my family and friends and it so happened that Roger Federer passed by the player dining area!
I have known Roger since he was 15 and I was the head coach of the Swiss tennis federation and guided him during the years of 1997/1998! My parents have always made an effort to come and visit me in all of my travels and have known him since that time. My mother, the number 1 fan of Roger made sure she said hello and than pointed the whole team at the table! Roger was great and took a picture with all of my friends!
I am so proud of his achievements but more importantly I am proud of him of the person he has become on and of the court!
