Jackie Cooper has found peace…. and I hope,a new BIG. Tennis court in the sky. There has to be a tennis court in heaven….he will be sorely missed….he played with and taught the Stars of Hollywood….bringing a certain cache’.  To the Desert. But it was to the children of the desert that he gave his love of tennis.  His time.  His devotion. His infectious. Boyish. Ways.  He and Charlie Pasarell. Jackie  passed away  yesterday….  Thursday…… He was … 68….  And … I’m certain…..there was not a more loved and admired   Man in the entire    Coachella   Valley than   Jackie…..he had all the niceness  and   Virtues of a Southern   Boy …… And none of the  prejudices!!!!!!!   His footsteps will be
Impossible to  fill…..

Coachella Vally, California. La Quinta resort @ la Quinta. On Sunday there was a gathering of between 500-700 people there to see the great Jackie Cooper. Jackie’s recently been diagnosed with cancer. His time in gods waiting room is here. We are all blessed to know such a beautiful guy and spirit. He is truly one of the nicest guys in the world. He is movie star handsome and a pied piper of our sport. He has taught tennis in the Coachella valley for going on 40 years.

The tennis community down there is a family. I’m impressed. The day was filled with the who’s who of tennis. They all gathered. They are something we wish all tennis communities had globally.

All of the locals suspects were rounded up. Lorne Kuhle , Tory Fretz , Charlie Pasarell , Ray Moore , Peggy Michael , Coco vandeweigh. , Betty and Tommy Tucker , Tom Gorman , Marty Reissen, Larry Stefanki , Jose Higeros ,

My reporter that covered the event said it was a place where friends gathered to say goodbye to Jackie Cooper who you know is headed to the big tennis court in the sky. But for real the blessed were all who new him. God knows how many hearts he broke. He has three beautiful daughters. Jackie spoke and according to our contributor. Everyone that spoke broke into tears. The only speaker that didn’t tear up or cry was Jackie himself. I can just see him in the umpires chair. With a harem of hundreds of beauties and an open bar and lots of fun. bless you dear Jackie. You are a living legend. You gave more to the sport than most. You loved tennis and tennis loves you.
