The Australian Made Campaign has named former top 10 player Alicia Molik as the face of its summer campaign “The Australian Made Summer of Tennis.”

“I’m delighted to be supporting the Australian Made Campaign. Buying Australian-made and Australian-grown for our children keep them healthy and also ensures local job and career opportunities,” Molik said.

The campaign will include sponsorship of a range of tennis events that will include the Australian Made Foundation Cup, an interstate tennis challenge for children 13 and, and the 25th annual Fed Cup Foundation’s ‘Breakfast with the Stars’ events in Sydney and Melbourne, which promote the achievements of women in tennis.

“The Australian Made Campaign is all about ensuring a better future for Australians, particularly for young Australians and generations to come,” Australian Made Chief Executive, Ian Harrison, said. “Regional Australia plays a very important role in that future. We are proud to align the Australian Made, Australian Grown logo with a Foundation that is working towards those same goals.”

Australian Made and Fed Cup Foundation will award the most outstanding male and female players, based on performance and sportsmanship, $1,000 each to assist with their tennis development.

The Australian Made Foundation Cup will be played at Parramatta City Tennis Complex January 7-11 2013. Breakfast with the Stars, presented by Australian Made, will take place at the Apia International Sydney, 8 January 2013, and in Melbourne at the Hilton on the Park, 15 January 2013.

The Australian Made Campaign is the not-for-profit organization that promotes and administers the iconic green and gold Australian Made, Australian Grown logo on Australian products domestically and around the world.

The AMAG logo supports growers, processors and manufacturers in Australia by helping businesses to clearly identify to consumers that their products are Australian.
