Gissela Dulko Looks Back At Her Professional Tennis Career

Days after announcing her retirement from professional tennis, Gisela Dulko took some time out to talk about her long career in which she won a grand slam in doubles and climbed to the top of the doubles rankings alongside Flavia Pennetta:

“Flavia had a big impact on my career without a doubt, but the best thing I will take from my time with her is our friendship. Together we decided to spend a season playing side-by-side and it was incredible. If only we had started beforehand.”

About WTA circuit she said: “When Azarenka, Serena Williams and Sharapova are on their game, I still think they are a step above everyone else”.

And about her ‘new life’ she answered: “I will miss the competition in a big way, because tennis is my passion. I am starting a new life and I am really happy. I have made the right decision.”
