The Fourth match on Center Court, on the first day of the 2011 Aircel Chennai Open, saw top seeded Indian pair Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi defeat Frank Dancevic (CAN) and Stanislas Wawrinka (SUI) 3-6, 7-6, 10-4.
The Indian top seeds lost the first set 3-6, but came back strongly in the 2nd set despite being down 4 match points in the tie-break, to win it 7-6.
In the third set, the Indian pair, who have won the doubles title at this event on 4 previous occasions, rode the momentum from the 2nd set, to win the deciding super tie-breaker 10-4. The fans at the stadium were ecstatic that their favorite doubles team pulled off a win, in a very closely contested 1st round match.
