US OPEN QUALIFYING BRINGS FREE WEEK OF TENNIS TO THE USTA BILLIE JEAN KING NATIONAL TENNIS CENTER
ALL MATCHES WILL BE TELEVISED ON CBS SPORTS NETWORK
FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER
The US Open will kick off with the US Open Qualifying Tournament, which offers more than $1 million in prize money and is free and open to the public. It will feature a men’s and women’s draw of 128 players each, with 16 men and 16 women advancing to the main draw of the US Open, held August 27-September 9.

INFO: Enhancements to this year’s US Open Qualifying Tournament include:
· A “Returning the Love” 10 and Under Tennis Clinic on Thursday, August 23, with US Open defending champions Novak Djokovic and Samantha Stosur
· Official Draw Ceremony on Thursday, August 23, followed by a US Open food tasting, which will also be attended by Djokovic and Stosur
· Fully functional video boards with graphics
· Player autograph sessions
· Food concessions open on the grounds
· The opportunity for fans to watch their favorite players practice during open sessions
For the first time ever, matches will be televised on CBS Sports Network daily.
