Because of their rankings over the past several years, when Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer meet on a tennis court, it usually is in a final.
And that’s not a given since they’ve only met three times in the last two years. That will change just before Christmas when the duo face each other in two exhibition matches.
Nadal announced they will play a charity match in Zurich, Switzerland, to raise funds for Africa on Dec. 21. The next day the two will meet in Spain with the proceeds going to Nadal’s charity foundation. Nadal said the two “wanted to take advantage of our head-to-head rivalry over recent years … and help people who need it.”
