Hingis earned a win over Gallovits-Hall, 5-1, to narrow the hosts’ deficit to 16-13.
But Washington closed out the win with a mixed doubles victory, the duo of Huey and Kops-Jones besting legends McEnroe and Hingis, 5-3.
In addition, at halftime, winners were announced from tryouts held on Saturday for boys and girls ages 8-14 at Sportime Randall’s Island for spots at the John McEnrore Tennis Academy.
