What a French Open ? It’s been great again!!!! That red clay breaks more hearts than the blue clay …

I’m rolling off the grounds. ? Rolling ? Yes after eating on the site daily I’ve eaten my way across the food court… The press center…. The city…. The food in Paris is amazing. The food on the venue is the finest at any sporting event anywhere on earth.

Oh I wish I wasn’t due in Nottingham. This French Open is so AmazeBalls. I’ve seen some awesome battles. Some great matches. We saw great French players. We sat with the Parisians in the stands. They were so polite. Really great fans of the sport ! Theres so much still to come. Especially in the men’s draw.

You’ve got Rafael Nadal playing so solid that he takes out Monaco in straight sets losing 2 games to win the first set 6-2. Then he takes the next 2 sets at love ! So Rafa won in three sets dropping two games. AmazeBalls. ! .

You have Roger Federer playing some vintage great magnificent matches.

You have Novak Djokovic going for a real grand slam. And that’s just off the top of my head. What am I doing leaving Paris for Nottingham ? I really am shaking my head. I do love the little tourney in Sherwood Forrest. Been a few times. But still haven’t seen RobinHood or his men….after Nottingham in heading to London to get settled in for the next five weeks ? Maybe.

I’m off to “Queens” and maybe the Boodles … I’m not much of a gin drinker but I’m still leery of events with booze sponsors….. ( Betty Ford) ….

Sorry it rained for the Queens Jubilee. ….. Maybe it’s time to pass it off to the the kids …

Most amazing talented 21 year old that’s new on 10sballs.com radar. David Coffin. What a talented kid. What an amazing story from the qualies trying to make quarters till he was taken out by his idol. The amazing Roger Federer. It was a great match to watch. The little country of Belgium makes some great players. They used to manufacture great rackets too !!

We are thrilled Tsonga pulled off the win against Stan Warwinka . We felt the match should have continued that night. The conditions weren’t that heavy and it was clay not grass so the slippery aspect didn’t factor in ? It was that Stan wanted to stop the run …

Ok. So why am I on my way to Nottingham ? I just realized Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor are trying to make it two in a row as defending French champs. That’s it. Sorry we are staying. ( made that mistake with Krajicek at Wimby in 1996. )

Just think if I hadn’t written this column I’d be rolling out. Now With another week planned I think they’ll have to put me on a furniture mover. …. I’ve been on the seafood diet. I see food I eat it ….count calories ? Self control ? Discipline ? ….. Ok we will watch it …go into our mouths. Gotta run it’s time to go to dinner break… And unpack the stuff I’d packed. Here to stay !

The only way to describe this U.S. open is soaking wet without raining... It's really hard to play tennis when your socks are soaking wet and you are "sloshing" in your shoes. Your shoes get really heavy when they get wet.
