Hey all! Hope you had a wonderful day. I had a great match today in the round of 16. I played the No. 1 seed Mitchell Krueger, and won 6-3, 6-2. It was my first win over a top 10 ITF player. I stuck to my game plan my coach and I came up with and executed it the whole time.
After my match, I went with my coach to get lunch and go watch my roommate for the week, Sameer Kumar, play. We watched for about an hour then I had to be driven back to get warmed up for doubles. We’re just going to skip the doubles match and not talk about it at all (we lost badly). But anyways, after the match, I got a cool down hit in for about 15 minuted then went to dinner at the Haus!
The best part about dinner, the desert. The frozen yogurt place next the to Haus was wonderful. I got the mango tango and plain tart twist with strawberries and cheesecake bits. So good!! I now have to go check into another hotel since my time at the other was up. The worst part about that is the constant packing and unpacking, but I’ll take it if it means I keep winning!
Last thing, a big congrats to the UNC tennis team. They beat Duke yesterday 4-3 in an amazing comeback. I can’t wait to join them in a year and a half, and am thrilled to see the success they’re having now!
My best, Ronnie
