Singles – Semifinal: (2) Marion Bartoli def. Klara Zakopalova 7-6(7-3) 6-0

No real surprise here, except for the way Klara Zakopalova fell apart, but it moves Marion Bartoli a little closer to the Top Five. It won’t matter this week, but it might matter next. Klara Zakopalova will probably be #45.

Singles – Semifinal: (9) Angelique Kerber def. Yanina Wickmayer 6-7(2-7) 6-3 6-4

This looks like yet another breakthrough for Angelique Kerber. Friday, she posted her first Top Five win. Saturday, she clinched a career high — she will rise from #27 to #23. It could be as high as #21 if she wins the title. Yanina Wickmayer ends up at #27.

Doubles – Semifinal: Groenefeld/Martic def. Craybas/Zahlavova Strycova 7-6(9-7) 6-3
