The entire staff at 10sBalls.com would like to wish Gussy Moran a wonderful 87th birthday. Born Gertrude Augusta Moran, but better known as Gussy or Gussie, she took the tennis world by surprise. In 1949 her beauty graced the Wimbledon courts, as she reached the ladies’ doubles finals, but it was her panties that would define the future of tennis. The Anna Kournikova of her day, her style broke down cultural barriers and ushered in the distinct fashion styles we have come to expect on the court.

As the US Open comes to a close, the 10sBalls.com staff would like to thank Gussy for her contribution to the tennis world and we are still enchanted by her beauty that is displayed on every court today.
