New sponsor activities and annual favorites are scheduled for the 2016 BNP Paribas Open, the largest WTA and ATP World Tour combined two-week event in the world, to be held March 7-20, 2016 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
Fans who visit the BNP Paribas booth can upload a photo to Facebook showing why they are the Biggest Tennis Fan and be entered to win tickets to the 2017 BNP Paribas Open and much more. The newly created BNP Paribas “We Are Tennis Fan Academy” provides fans with the opportunity to bring their passion to tournaments and competitions around the world. On Sunday, March 13, fans will learn chants and songs alongside the Fan Academy’s captain, John McEnroe, followed by in-stadium participation on March 14.
Bank of the West, a member of the BNP Paribas Group, welcomes fans to its exhibitor booth to engage in their most smashing moves with Bank of the West’s Smash Cam, a wrap-around camera array that gives you a one-of-a-kind, 180° photo to share with family and friends.
Fila, the Official Apparel and Footwear Provider of the Tournament, will unveil its 2016 Heritage Collection of tennis apparel and new performance tennis shoe, the Cage Delirium, on Thursday, March 10. Look for special appearances and autograph sessions from Fila athletes. Fila’s on-site retail store will offer an enhanced shopping experience for spectators, including video walls inside and outside the Fila store. Join the conversation using the hashtag #FilaTennis and you could see you Instagram posts displayed on the video walls and much more. On Wednesday, March 9, American Sam Querrey will host a clinic as part of Fila’s junior mentoring program for more than 120 high school boys and girls tennis teams from the Coachella Valley.
Host city of the renowned BNP Paribas Open, the City of Indian Wells welcomes fans to enjoy a complimentary massage at the City of Indian Wells booth or practice their golf game on the putting green located in The Courtyard. The City of Indian Wells is also the presenting sponsor of Salute to Heroes, a special ceremony recognizing veterans, military personnel, police and firemen to be held on Friday, March 11.
The middle Saturday, March 12, is Emirates Day. Look for the Ball Flight promotion in Stadium 1, where fans have the chance to win round-trip airfare from Los Angeles to Dubai. Complimentary Emirates caps will be given away at the entry gates.
Start your mornings with a delicious cup of cold-brew coffee from the Lavazza Café and then visit the Lavazza booth to sample a variety of coffees. On Sunday, March 13, visit the Tennis Garden Village Stage for Tennis Talk at 12:30 p.m. for a chance to take home a Keurig coffee maker and K-cups.
Fans will have a chance to play ping pong against an ATP World Tour or WTA star on Monday, March 14, during Audi Day. Participants can also enter for a chance to win two custom Ping Pong tables at the Audi main display, which will feature a new line of Audi vehicles.
Wednesday, March 16, is Masimo Day, where fans can visit its exhibitor booth to spin the wheel and win special prizes. In addition, Masimo will demonstrate its MightySat fingertip pulse oximeter at its booth throughout the tournament.
Steve Furgal Day is Thursday, March 17, featuring giveaways in Stadium 1. Fans can also visit its exhibitor booth throughout the tournament to plan their next tennis trip.
For the second straight year, HEAD will provide the stringing services for players at the BNP Paribas Open. Stop by the HEAD Penn booth to get a souvenir picture with your choice of HEAD-sponsored players in the background, including two-time BNP Paribas Open champion Maria Sharapova and four-time and defending champion Novak Djokovic. Also grab a Penn soda cup to earn free refills at concession stands around the grounds.
As the largest online tennis retailer, Tennis Warehouse has a store located in The Courtyard where it will offer a variety of demo racquets on its full-size demo court. Special tournament pricing will be offered on racquets from HEAD and more. Player appearances will also occur throughout the tournament, including on-court clinics and autograph sessions.
Fan can learn about the benefits of magnetic jewelry at the Jeffrey Scott Fine Magnetics booth. Jeffrey Scott awards all of the professional main draw players with a uniquely designed bracelet each year and patrons will have an opportunity to purchase their own bracelet on-site.
