Caroline Wozniacki will spend the New Year in Thailand with golfing boyfriend Rory McIlroy.

The world number one will be competing on New Years Day at the World Tennis Charity Invitation in Hua Hin, raising money for flood relief along with world number three Victoria Azarenka and top 20 American John Isner. Joining them in competing at the event, to be held at Centennial Park, InterContinental Hua Hin Resort, will be Thai tennis icon Paradorn Srichaphan.

Off the court, the players will be participating in a number of activities in Hua Hin. Wozniacki has a full schedule of activities planned during her stay, including a Thai cooking class and spa treatments, and on December 30th all the players will participate in a tree-planting ceremony with hundreds of local school children as part of a nationwide teak tree-planting project.

On December 31st they will participate in a merit-making ceremony to donate food to monks, and Isner and Azarenka will also conduct a tennis clinic for Thai junior players on January 2nd
