The latest Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Nations Ranking list has been published following last weekend’s final in Moscow in which Czech Republic beat Russia to claim their first Fed Cup title as an independent nation.

Italy has maintained the first position despite having been beaten by Russia in the semi-finals while new champions Czech Republic have gone up one position to reach the second spot and overtake Russia, this year’s Fed Cup finalists. The United States and Belgium have held the fourth and fifth positions respectively to complete the Top 5 Fed Cup nations.

The top 10 rankings are:

1 – Italy 27837.50 points

2 – Czech Republic 24650.00

3 – Russia 20120.00

4 – United States 13912.50

5 – Belgium 7775.00

6 – Spain 7157.50

7 – Serbia 6115.00

8 – Ukraine 6070.00

9 – Germany 5655.00

10 – Australia 4175.00
