Australian youngster Bernard Tomic has caused an upset at the Shanghai Rolex Masters after taking out World No. 8 Mardy Fish 4-6 6-1 6-4 in the second round. The 49th ranked Aussie came back from a set down.

“It’s been a good year. I can’t expect much more from myself. I’ve had a good six months. I’m playing well here. The surface, conditions suit me. I think it’s been a good run,” said Tomic.

Fish and Tomich faced each other last week at the Japan Open the outcome was different with Fish coming out as the winner. Tomic faces the winner of Albert Ramos of Spain and Alexandr Dolgopolov of the Ukraine in the third round.
