Feliciano Lopez weds Alba Carillo, with friends David Ferrer, Fernando Verdasco and Marcel Granollers in attendance.

The wedding of the year in Spain was quite possibly that of Feliciano Lopez as he married Alba Carrillo on Friday, 17 July in his hometown of Toledo.

The World No. 19 was joined by friends and fellow players David Ferrer, Fernando Verdasco, Marcel Granollers, Alex Corretja and Albert Costa for the momentous occasion.

As the couple exited the Alcázar of Toledo after saying “I do”, the tennis stars in attendance created a tunnel with their racquets for the newlyweds to walk under.

Saturday morning, the 33-year-old groom tweeted his thoughts on his “dream becoming a reality”, ending with “#MarriageWorks”, a homage to what fellow newlywed Andy Murray wrote on the camera after his title win in Madrid in May.

Earlier this week, World No. 6 Tomas Berdych tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Ester Satorova, sharing the news on Twitter. Lukas Rosol also got married to Czech TV news presenter Michaela Ochotska on Monday near Prague.
