The first day of action at the Atlanta Tennis Championships will be headlined by the feature match of the day with Georgia Tech’s Kevin King facing Nicolas Massu of Chile.
King will have a tough test ahead of him against the former World No. 9 and the only player in modern Olympic history to win an Olympic gold medal in both singles and doubles. King on the other hand is a rising senior at Georgia Tech, who received a wild card into the qualifying tournament. As a Georgia native, King will have the crowd on his side as he begins his matchup with the powerful ATP Tour veteran.
King will also play in the main draw of doubles with Drake Berstein of the Univeristy of Georgia. The pair received a wild card into the main draw of doubles.
