Just three days after the conclusion of the Farmers Classic, presented by Mercedes-Benz, the LA Tennis Center will play host to Coldplay in a concert to benefit the GRAMMY Foundation on August 3.

Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile) has announced that Coldplay will headline the Los Angeles concert for the Samsung AT&T Summer Krush 2011 series, with proceeds from the event benefitting the GRAMMY Foundation’s GRAMMY in the Schools music education programs for high school students. As well, select songs from the Coldplay performance will air the same evening on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The concert will serve as the Los Angeles portion of The Samsung AT&T Summer Krush concert series, featuring today’s hottest artists participating in unique summer music experiences in major cities and offers attendees a chance to experience the new Samsung Infuse™ 4G exclusively at AT&T! The series has established itself as a can’t-miss concert experience and with Coldplay headlining this year’s show, it is guaranteed to be a memorable event. More information can be found at www.samsungsummerkrush2011.com.

Designed to provide attendees with private concerts and the opportunity to experience the Samsung Infuse™ 4G exclusively at AT&T, the Samsung AT&T Summer Krush concert series begins in mid-July and lasts through mid-September, and features nine one-night-only music events that give attendees a chance to hear some of their favorite bands performing intimate concerts in some of the hippest locations. Each event features a one-hour, high-energy performance by a chart-topping musical artist along with interactive activities for attendees and opportunities to win a number of prizes including the Samsung Infuse™ 4G Exclusively at AT&T and a branded Samsung AT&T Summer Krush guitar.

The net proceeds from the event will benefit the GRAMMY Foundation’s®-GRAMMY in the Schools® music education programs for high school students. The Foundation accomplishes this mission through programs and activities that engage the music industry and cultural community as well as the general public. The Foundation works in partnership year-round with its founder, The Recording Academy®, to bring national attention to important issues such as the value and impact of music and arts education and the urgency of preserving our rich cultural heritage.

Last July, Farmers Classic Presented by Mercedes-Benz hosted Keith Urban and the Avett Brothers in a benefit concert at the LA Tennis Center for the GRAMMY Foundation.
