"Middle Sunday".... now it's "Tea Time"  |

It’s “Middle Sunday”…. now it’s “Tea Time”. That’s how it is at Wimbledon. Its most  civilized and traditional as possible… strawberries and cream. Yummy…

I know my buddy Norman caught up on mail, laundry, and family. What did Roger do? Did the mighty Federer hang with the family? Rafa… same??  We know Sven and Mats were on site. You never know what that dynamic duo might be up to. Maybe heading to the gym….

Max and Nickolai what did you two do? Dinner at Vama?? We know “Sunshine”,  dear beautiful Caroline Wozniaki was at the cinema. We know a lot of players were looking at going to plays. Serena chilled out and watched the telly, while the Great Gimelslob enjoyed the peacefulness of the grounds at the All England Club. Boss lady loves that also, and the flip to that which is the Sunday before the event starts and that the Aorangi Park practice courts on site are hopping busy… like Grand Central Station at rush hour. Its the ying and the yang, TV crews and cameras everywhere.

As a credential holder you can enter the grounds early. It’s a peacefulness all of us early birds know. Back in the day I was there at sunrise.

“Middle Sunday”, It’s such a great break. As a player, you know you are in for bigger money… even better a closer shot at winning. Most players use the day to rest, regroup and enjoy that they made the cut…. How did you spend your Sunday? It’s “Middle Sunday”…. now it’s “Tea Time”. That’s how it is at Wimbledon.
