Current Wimbledon Champion Rafael Nadal has got a tough task on Monday playing Juan Martin Del Potro.

Del Potro is seeded No. 24 in the Championships. Wimbledon is not Del Potro’s favourite tournament. His best result at Wimbledon is second round. The 2009 US Open Champion was out the majority of 2010 with a wrist injury. His ranking dropped to No. 485 in the world due to the injury but he now back at No. 21.

The Argentine sailed past Frenchman Gilles Simon 7-6 (8) 7-6 (5) 7-5. Due to the rain Del Potro has had to play every single day since Monday.

Rafael Nadal needed two tiebreak sets before winning the third set 6-0 to overcome Gilles Muller of Luxembourg. Rafa injured  his leg a little bit but called the trainer and he felt better.

Nadal said in his press conference after beating Gilles Muller of Luxembourg, “I’m not lucky to play against Del Potro in te round of 16. He’s a very, very tough opponent, one of the best players in the world. When he’s healthy, he’s top five level normally, so he will be a very tough opponent for me. I have to be playing my best tennis to try to win.”

Del Potro and Rafael Nadal are scheduled to play their fourth round match on Centre Court third match after 13.00.
