PRE-GAMING AT THE BNP PARIBAS OPEN TENNIS IN COACHELLA VALLEY  |

The Main Event may not have started yet, but there is still plenty to entertain fans at the 2015 BNP Paribas Open today and tomorrow.

The pre-qualies were held all last week with Mischa Zverev winning the men’s draw and earning a spot in this week’s Qualies while both Mayo Hibi and Samantha Crawford earned a spot in the women’s Qualies with their run to the pre-qualies Final.

The Women’s Qualifying started today, finishing tomorrow. The Men’s Qualifying starts tomorrow, finishing Wednesday. Both draws have several former and current college players competing for a coveted Main Draw slot. On the women’s side, you’ll see University of Florida’s Lauren Embree and USC star Maria Sanchez. On the men’s side, it’s former UCLA Bruin Dennis Novikov plus current Bruin Mackenzie McDonald as well as top junior player Taylor Fritz.

If you’re interested in non-tennis activities, you can join the players for the Main Draw ceremony today and tomorrow at 3pm in front of the main video wall. A fan-friendly putting green is just steps away from the City of Indian Wells’ booth in The Courtyard, a great place to practice before heading out to one of the world-class golf courses in Indian Wells. Enjoy complimentary massages at the booth, while players and fans alike have a chance to make their best funny or silly face for the Twitter Mirror.

Bank of the West welcomes fans to its exhibitor booth to show off their most smashing moves with Bank of the West’s Smash Cam, a wrap-around camera array that gives you a one-of-a-kind, 180° photo to share with family and friends.

Test your hand-eye coordination at the Emirates World Tour Challenge booth for the chance to win top prizes.

Esurance, the official insurance partner, invites fans to visit their booth for a personalized, in-depth analysis of their tennis swing using innovative technology. They’ll also be giving tennis enthusiasts up-close and personal access to some of the game’s biggest stars with autograph sessions around the grounds.

Driving onto the sponsor team this year is Audi. Visit the Audi car displays where the Audi Brand Specialists will introduce you to the full line of German-engineered luxury automobiles.

The best part about the Qualifying matches and pre-tourney events? Admission is FREE! So pack up your sunscreen and shades and head out to the Indian Wells Tennis Garden for fierce battles between some of the sport’s veterans and rising stars and strike your best pose for the cameras. After all, this IS Cali!
