Stan’s Donuts shop. And Westwood Sporting Goods. Thru those two shops/stores many a tennis champion has been. Two relics. Icons. Classics. Institutions. Two must stop and visit places in. Westwood (Los Angeles).

UCLA had a rich history with tennis Champs .as well as locals like Pete Sampras. Uber coach Paul Annacone. Jimmy Connors. Sam Querrey. David Nainkin. Gimelstob. (Also the men’s tourney stringer) For me it was awesome. As many times as I’ve been there we always see a new treasure. Rick the owner really knows his walls of frames. Great stock. One stick jumped off the wall at me. I bought it. Instantly. The cosmetics sold me. The head was a good size for me and I love the design. It’s a prince edge? Or edge to edge. Or EXO3 ?

Ok. We got to strings. I said black. Rafa uses black sometimes. So first I saw Babolat Xcel 16 gauge. Wait Rick says they make black GUT, so I bought black vs. 15 gauge. Passed on the pre stretch on the gut. I can pick it up today. Wish the drizzles would stop.

Stan’s Donut shop. Stan’s up early every morning baking the best donuts in the whole world. He is busy “Fedex-ing” them to everywhere. Way to go Stan. We bought a box and got a big smile from dear old Stan. UCLA guys he loves you allstop in and say Hi.
