Awaiting Wimbledon - Never A Dull Moment | 
Cheers and have another tea, scone, or pint. My pre Wimby rituals… I would have walked the grounds by now.
Poked into every court… Looked at the grass very closely… the direction the blades of grass were growing… Watched all the workers running around putting all the finishing touches in place. Painting railings and buildings goes on practically up till the gates are opened. The plants and trees and flowers are all over the place in pots in piles just abundant. Deliveries are being hurried about. It’s wild.
What’s the best? The solitude. Court by court we float around the grounds. The smells. The senses are on overload. Center Court… Sneak over. Sit in the stands…. It’s guarded… Men in uniforms… Cameras.
You just sit. Court one. Awesome court. Court two awesome court. Geezer and Big Boss walked every inch. Sat. Gazed. Even just happy to watch the grass grow. That would be the Thursday. Friday routine. Wait till I tell you about Saturdays unless global chick beats me to it…. or the rain screws it up…..
