– Sharapova wins her 34th WTA title; she is behind only Serena (64) and Venus Williams (46) on the list of active title winners.

– Sharapova’s win-loss record in WTA finals now stands at 34-22; Brisbane is the 24th different event she has triumphed at.

– Sharapova has now won at least one title for 13 consecutive seasons; only three players (Navratilova, Evert and Graf) have enjoyed longer streaks.

– Sharapova won her opening three matches for the loss of nine games; Ivanovic was the only player to take a set from her.
