Maria Sharapova made sure that sponsor Porsche got a share of the red-carpet spotlight as she arrived at a New York City breast cancer event in a flash Panamera model. The world No. 6, global brand icon for the German sports car marque, attended the Celebrates Fashion Targets Breast Cancer 20th Anniversary event, riding in the same model that she actually has at home in her LA garage.
The Official Brand Ambassador for Porsche is starting to become synonymous with the marque, also attracting plenty for camera time two months ago at a pre-Wimbledon party in Kensington, touting the sporty – and pricey at around $900,000 – green Porsche 918 Spyder, driven by former Formula One professional Mark Webber.
Sharapova has been working hard in the run-up to this week’s start of the US Open to provide value for money from the high-prestige sponsor, taking the Panamera Turbo around Manhattan before wheeling into valet parking for the breast cancer event held at The New Museum.
Two weeks ago Maria was driving herself all around Cincy ( Mason) Ohio. It’s must be nice to have a Porsche waiting for you wherever on earth you go.
