Tonight, Kei Nishikori, Novak Djokovic, and other top ATP players will host a fundraising event to help the disaster victims in Japan.

The event will be a exhibition soccer match against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers, and will include an after-party in Miami. This party will feature a silent auction and other donation giving opportunitites to benefit the American Red Cross Japan distaster relief efforts.

Kei Nishikori has also setup a Red Cross donation page on his Facebook, so we ask 10sBalls.com readers to give if they have not already: http://www.facebook.com/keinishikori?sk=app_141243682567063

The fundraising efforts will continue this Friday, March 25th as the WTA, ATP World Tour, Sony Ericsson Open and global tennis family will join forces to help raise money for Japan disaster relief. Prior to the start of Friday’s evening session, players from both the WTA and ATP World Tour will participate in an on-court presentation and walk through the stands on Stadium Court collecting donations. Money collected will also go to the Red Cross.

10sBalls.com salutes the tennis community for all their efforts they do to help victims of tragedies around the world. From the flooding in Australia to Japan’s earthquake and subsequent Tsunami, events such as these remind us how fragile our lives can be, but they also gives us an opportunity to show how much good we can do when were work together.
