Serena Williams has pulmonary embolism | 
People magazine has reported that Serena Williams underwent “emergency treatment” Monday. A few days earlier, doctors had found a clot in her legs.
Spokeswoman Nicole Chabot told the magazine that Williams “underwent emergency treatment for a hematoma suffered as a result of treatment for a more critical situation.”
She is being treated in Los Angeles and doctors are continuing to monitor her situation carefully.
