A Day In The Life Of Sven And Mats |

A day in the life of Mats and Sven for the Adidas Player Development Program (APDP)!

8:00: On the bus with Ayumi Morita and her coach Junichi

8:30: Skype with home for a quick catch up!

8:45- 9:15: Warm-up on court 6 (match court) with Ayumi Morita

9:30-10: Warm-up with Sorana Cirstea on Margeret court arena (match court)

10-10:30: Warm-up with Maria Kirilenko

10:30-12: Practice on court 16 with Caroline Wozniaki (mats stayed for full practice I left after 15 min)

10:45: Match prep talk with Ayumi and Sorana in the fitness warm-up area (both playing at 11)

11: Match of Sorana which she lost to Shahar Peer!

12:30: Met with Ayumi Morita who won her match (in the gym) Mats watched from the 2nd set directly after Caro’s hit!

12:45: Back to Margeret court arena to watch Maria Kirilenko but she lost today and maybe the 1st round 3 hour match was still in her legs!

2:30: Lunch outside with Toby Glyn (team Adidas) and Mats!

3: Interviews

3:30: Pick up laundry in the locker room

3:40: Bus back to the hotel and spend some time with the Adidas sports marketing division.

4:30: Time for a workout

6: Prep for tomorrow’s schedule

6:30: Dinner with local Adidas colleague at their home

10 pm: players party at hotel and celebrate our own Adidas sports marketing legend Claus Marten with his 100th consecutive grand slam

? Time to go to bed and maybe watch a night match

To be honest I never ever attended a full weekend of Davis Cup. So that is why I needed to take my parents as they also never experienced this phenomenon.
