The draw is out for the 2014 Auzzie open. The men’s is so lopsided I’m leaving that one to another member of the team. So more tomorrow. But for sure the hottest ticket in town is Rafael Nadal playing again Bernie Tomic. And that’s just a first round match. Loved hearing the “Roger Federer” or broadcasting all week. Drumroll that’s Robbie Koenig. He is always spot on. Rarely speaks while the ball is in play. And is basically calling the match we are viewing onTV to make us feel as if we were there. That one is going to be an interesting battle of wills and big balls. We spoke to the busiest man in tennis strings Mr. K.T.Kim he is thrilled that his SOLINCO string was the string of the year again in at least two categories. When you see a player like Donald Young using Solinco for years you know they make a great string. Donald or D.Y. As his friends call him has what’s called in sports ” soft hands” it means he has above usual “feel ” . So that alone speaks volumes. Tuesday in Melbourne the temps are going to be over 100 degrees F. That’s 37 degrees Celsius. Yikes. Ready it gets worse. It’s the same for Wednesday and Thursday could be hotter. I’d say warmer but hotter better describes it.

Agnieszka Radwanska tweeted that she has signed an endorsement contract with Swiss watch manufacturer Rado. She joins Andy Murray as endorsees of Rado.
