Roger Federer has as many titles at the year-end championship as the rest of his round-robin competitors combined have match wins. That’s right; Federer has lifted the trophy on six occasions, while Kei Nishikori has won four matches and Dominic Thiem has won two (Kevin Anderson is making his Nitto ATP Finals debut).

Of course, that is not to say that the Swiss will be without competition during Group B action in London. Not only is he 37 years old, but Anderson, Thiem, and Nishikori are also in stellar form. Anderson finished runner-up to Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon and has not looked back since, Thiem played a smarter schedule than usual and has enjoyed his best-ever fall swing, and Nishikori is 14-5 since the U.S. Open.
