The year, 2030, Roger & Rafa are walking, slowly, side by side, on a beautiful promenade on a warm summer night in a charming European city.

Roger: “We sure ruled the tennis world for about 20 years, didn’t we?”

Rafa: “For sure, Roger, you with all your Wimbledon’s, me with all my French, and a whole bunch of U.S. and Aussie Opens for good measure.”

Roger: “The greatest of all time, take your pick.”

Rafa: “There was no one like us. If I couldn’t win one, I only wanted you to take it.”

Roger: “Same here, it’s been a beautiful rivalry and friendship. Doubles at the Laver Cup, there’s no one I’d rather play with or against than you.”

Just then, a shadow appears and starts to move closer to the GOATS. Footsteps are now audible and start to move closer. Out of the briskly moving shadow appears… the Joker!

Joker: “Hello boys, great to see you.”

Roger (monotone): Novak.

Rafa (head down): “Nole que pasa?”

Joker: “Boys, don’t you think I should join this walk with you?”

Roger: “grrr (under his breath), sure, I guess so, it’s no big deal.”

Rafa: “Well, we’re just reminiscing about our history together, but I suppose you can join us.”

Joker: “Well what about my history with the 2 of you. Except for my little blip from 2016-2018, I’ve pretty much owned the history.”

Roger & Rafa slowly move apart.

In unison: “ Yeah I guess it’s ok, why don’t you jump in right here between us, just don’t walk too fast!”
