UNIVERSAL TENNIS PARTNERS WITH ORANGECOACH TO ENHANCE RESOURCES FOR INTERNATIONAL TENNIS COACHES

OrangeCoach Adopts UTR Powered by Oracle as Official Rating and Event Management Platform

May 29, 2018 – Universal Tennis and OrangeCoach today announced a long-term partnership that will enhance the tools and technology available to international tennis coaches.

UTR Powered by Oracle, the most accurate global tennis rating system, is now the official tennis rating of OrangeCoach, and will be used by the organization and its members to evaluate player skill level. OrangeCoach is the premier online employment platform in the international tennis industry. The company was founded by Sven Groeneveld, a former professional Coach of the world’s top players including Mary Pierce, Michael Stich, Nathalie Dechy, Greg Rusedski, Fernando Verdasco, Ana Ivanovic and Maria Sharapova.

Universal Tennis will provide all active OrangeCoach members with access to its suite of tools and technology, including its event and tournament management system, to allow members to run competitive, level based events in their communities and clubs.

“Sven and his team at OrangeCoach are fully aligned with our mission to provide technology to improve tennis for everyone, everywhere,” said Mark Leschly, Universal Tennis Chairman & CEO. “Tennis coaches are working every day to establish a love of the game and provide opportunities for more play. We are excited to partner with OrangeCoach to provide our unified rating and event management system to make it easier to facilitate even more competitive, fulfilling tennis in clubs and communities.”

By adopting the UTR Powered by Oracle system, OrangeCoach members can now compare and track players using a single, unified rating that is borderless, ageless and genderless. UTR’s tournament management system will allow OrangeCoach members to organize events and easily set draws and tournaments based on player UTRs, and automatically add match results towards the players rating for an accurate, realtime view of player skill level.

“Our goal is to provide our members with the world’s most innovative tools, technology and services to support their professional development and grow tennis in their communities,” said Sven Groeneveld, OrangeCoach Founder and ATP/WTA Coach. “I believe Universal Tennis and the UTR Powered by Oracle system can be a standard for all of tennis and positively impact the game for players, coaches and organizers worldwide.”
