ATP Tennis World No. 2 Rafael Nadal has withdrawn from the 2018 BNP Paribas Open due to a right hip injury.
“We are disappointed that Rafa will not be able to compete for the title at this year’s BNP Paribas Open,” said Tommy Haas, Tournament Director. “We wish him all the best for a speedy recovery, and hope to see him back in action at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden next year.”
Editors Note:
Rafa was feeling good in Acapulco till his last practice session there. Then he felt the same pain he had experienced in AUSTRALIA. What a pity. He had an MRI. And maybe is iffy / doubtful for FLORIDA as well.
We will all miss RAFA • We know the tourney will miss him. But there’s still a great draw. Great players. Great tennis. Great Gardens. Oh, and The Great Roger Federer and newest (oldest) ATP Number one!
