Roger Federer won his 18th Grand Slam Championship in Australia on the first day of Chinese New Year this year, January 28th 2017, which happens to be the year of the Rooster. Since Roger was born in the year of the Rooster, I believe 2017 is bringing him much needed renewed enthusiasm, energy and good fortune for his tennis career. When I wrote the article about Roger in January, I remember writing that those who understand and support Roger will be generously rewarded this year, according to the experts on Chinese Astrology.

And today, we are once again rewarded by seeing Roger win his Masters 1000 title in Indian Wells, on the eve of the Spring Equinox. This is another miraculous Sunday for me. What a way to celebrate the beginning of Spring this year!
Roger has 18 Grand Slam titles and according to Numerology, (1+8=9), 9 is the number for completion. Roger can play with ease and abandon because he feels more complete now. As he said in Indian Wells, whatever happens from now on is just icing on his “chocolate” cake. I plan to savor and relish each moment I see Roger play until he decides to hang up his racquet.
Editors Note: Irene is not a tennis fan. She is a Fan of Roger Federer. We need more Federer Hats. Roy still waiting for 18? And how about PINK? Tennis players are adored for many different reasons. Tommy Boy always loved the quirky players. (ie . Pernfors, Braasch)
Recently we met a little girl who’s a SERENA fan. Poor thing can’t find anything SERENA related. 10sBalls had a doll in the museum we gave her. Tennis needs marketing. And now with everyone wearing a “consultants” hats we hope to see it.

It was the end of an era at Crandon Park for the Miami Open last year. From the Lipton, to the Nasdaq 100, to the Sony Ericsson, to the Sony, to the Miami Open presented by Itau, Key Biscayne saw it all.
