TENNIS HAS A GREAT ON COURT ANNOUNCER IN 10SBALLS_COM FRIEND ANDREW KRASNY – KUDOS TO KRASNY FROM MIAMI OPEN AND MORE

It was clear from the first moment he took the microphone and stepped on the tennis court we had just witnessed a great talent.

Andrew brings such a great attitude to each and every interview or introduction. He is in a league of his own. Each year we see Andrew at more and more events. He brings his good looks. His charm. His energy. His love of the sport as well as his job. To him it’s long hours, days, weeks, months away from home but he loves his job so to him it isn’t work.

He is blessed and he knows it. He brings a great enthusiasm to the show. The players all respect him and like him and know he always feels their pain of a loss and that his empathy is real. We our proud to call him our friend. He makes tennis better.

 

It’s So much fun to watch Emcee and Tennis Channel host Andrew Krasny work his magic at Indian Wells and Miami. Many people don’t realize Krasny got his start in the entertainment business answering fan mail for the late, great Joan Rivers. He went on to write for the legendary comedienne for over 30 years and if it wasn’t for Joan, he would have never made a career for himself in tennis. Joan actually gave him a week off, PAID to emcee at the then Mercedes Cup at UCLA. “Joan knew how much I loved tennis and wanted a career in the sport. She never held me back” says Krasny. “She always joked and told me, “I was the best host in my price range!” he added.

 

Andrew also hosted the relationship show “Crush” on the USA Network, was nominated for an Emmy Award as a producer for Martin Short, and has been a correspondent on at least a dozen talk shows.

 

His tournaments have included Carson, Carlsbad, Indian Wells, Miami, Amelia Island, Memphis, Atlanta, Stanford, Cincinnati, New Haven, The US Open, Istanbul, Doha, Singapore and events for Jim Courier and his Legends. He was tapped last July to host Tennis Channel’s “Court Report” as well. No one bridges the gap between fans and players better than Krasny and all of us at 10sBalls recognize his commitment to our sport.
